A 6 pin lock is one of the most common locks you will find as they are often used for UPVC doors. Compared to a 5 pin lock as 6 pin is more secure as the extra pin adds an extra layer of security.
A key blank is a key that has not yet been cut to a specific biting. The keys are cut by using a cutting machine which works by using the original key as a reference and then tracing one tooth of the key whilst another part of the machine simultaneously grinds the replica teeth into the key blank.
